The most important feature of any 4K TV is obviously the picture quality. We are very happy with the picture quality of Vizio P-Series TVs. This TV consistently produced bright and clear images even in brightly lit rooms. This is largely because of its insanely bright screen which is rated at 1100 nits of brightness. We had no problem watching this TV in rooms with plenty of open windows during daytime.
This TV supports Dolby Vision HDR which brings remarkable detail & brightness in movies and shows which support HDR. The TV also has great motion handling due to low response time. This means fast moving action scenes don't have that ghosting effect which plagues cheaper panels.
This TV also produced good contrast ratio. The blacks are inky deep black and very impressive for an LCD TV. This is because it has active full array back-lighting with 200 local dimming zones. This gives Vizio P Series excellent black uniformity when watching dark scenes in a dark room.
After Apple CEO Tim Cook decided to play nice with others, we now have Apple Airplay 2 support built into this TV. So you can cast videos from iPad, iPhone or Macbooks. Vizio supports both Alexa and Google Home Smart platforms. So you can issue commands to both these assistants to find and play any movie or TV show. Simply say “OK, Google turn ON the TV” or "Reduce the volume"!
All the popular apps are supported on Vizio’s platform. My favorite is free TV called "Vizio Watch Free". This is ad supported streaming TV and has plenty of movies and TV shows
Moving on to ports behind the TV, Vizio has packed this TV with 5 HDMI ports. 3 are facing downwards and 2 side-ways. In addition there are optical and digital out ports for old-school sound receivers. There are even analog ports to connect your old ghetto VCRs!
So overall, we think that this is the best 4K LED LCD TV you can buy in the market right now. Vizio P Series is the TV to buy this holiday season in 2019
